In April 2024, the Aylsham Care Trust (ACT) were approach by the town council and asked if they would join in with the town’s dinosaur trail that was due to take place in the summer.
So, in turn, ACT asked us if we could build them a dinosaur – as you do!
Well, after we had recovered from the initial approach, pencil was put to paper and we started looking around for suitable materials. Over the course of the following weeks, a structure started to emerge.
Initially, it looked the size of a medium-sized dog, but as appendages started to be added, it really began to look the part. A further challenge was how to move the finished structure to the ACT centre from the shed. Fortunately, one of the ACT minibuses came to the rescue.
ACT staff and their clients were thrilled by the skeleton and they made short work of covering it with paper mache and then painting it. They put it on display at the ACT centre complete with a button to be pressed to hear a fairly realistic Roarrr!
