In January 2024, we were contacted by clerk to the town council, asking if the community shed would be able to carry out a repair to one of the bench seats located on the recreation ground. The bench had two broken slats in the back support and, as such, was not safely usable by the community.
The repair involved taking out any remains of the old slats, stabilising the framework and making new slats with the same shaped profile. The whole bench was then re-treated, ready for installation by the town council.
