The Aylsham Community Shed Safety Policy

Safety is vitally important in any Shed, as is taking the proper precautions and monitoring your risks. We’ve put together a simple health and safety risk assessment in the below document to help members manage and mitigate against risks in the Aylsham Community Shed.

Safeguarding Adults at Risk

As well as general Shed safety, we have procedures in place for safeguarding adults at risk. As a general rule, any adult at risk attending the Aylsham Community Shed should be accompanied by their carer to ensure the safety of them and others. The below Adults at Risk Safeguarding Policy explains all of this and gives an idea of the types of procedures that are considered best practice.Safeguarding Policy Template (docx)

It is not expected that every ‘Shedder’ reads the entire policy and understands it, but our Management Committee is fully aware of it, as are any designated Safeguarding Officers. We display the below summary for all Shedders to know who they should approach if there’s a problem.
