One of our members wanted to provide a roosting/nesting box for a Barn owl that he knew visited his paddock.
So, with help and direction from one of our experienced woodworking members and using Wildlife Trust barn owl box criteria, a project to create a nest box was started. The nest box has been made from exterior plywood and now needs to be further weather-proofed with a felt covering to the roof.
There are inspection/maintenance hatches on both sides to help with installation and to enable it to be cleared out as and when necessary.
When finished, a suitable location will be identified and we will await the first house viewing!
